Why does South East Wireless personnel ask me my address when I call to ask if my house can be served?
Every residence and business is unique in its position and possible obstruction(s) relative to our tower(s). South East Wireless will put your address into our online tool to determine the predicted reliability. Our promise to each of you is that, if we can’t provide reliable internet access, we will give you the reason(s) why. We will provide a screenshot of what we are seeing in the tool. If we can provide internet access at a higher height than your roof, we can provide that too.

If you provide my neighbor internet, doesn’t that mean that you can provide it to me?
No, while our technology can operate in a “non-line of sight”, several things may impact us providing you reliable service. For example, Your neighbor’s house could be 20-40′ higher and/or your home could have more trees surrounding it. We have to evaluate each subscriber on a case-by-case basis.

What affects coverage to my house or business?
Building Location – is the residence in a low-lying area or next to hills?
Trees – dense trees or other obstructions in the path from the tower to your location will limit coverage

What are my options if trees are blocking the signal?
South East Wireless will be happy to work with you to overcome the trees by installing taller mounts on your roof, using existing ROHN tv antennas (if applicable), or installing a small tower or pole on your land to get you reliable coverage.

Is installing a small tower or pole part of the $125 install fee?
We try our best to keep costs down – installation of a small tower or pole would be quoted on a case by case basis. The costs would include the tower/pole, the additional cable used, and labor/materials to perform the work.

Who else would use my pole or tower if you installed on my land?
No one but you!

If my neighbors and I came together and purchased a small tower, could we all use it?
Yes, if the tower is within 250 feet of both houses

What are my options if I don’t want to install a taller mount on the roof or a small tower on my land?
South East Wireless is currently in negotiations to get on more towers around the Wiregrass area; once these towers are online it may be possible for the signal to be stronger coming from a different direction. Checking back with us every couple of months is always a great idea.

Am I getting the speeds I am paying for?
We offer “up-to” speeds. If you are paying for the 40 Mbps package, you will get as close to 40 Mbps as possible. When running a speed test, your results will be measured in Mbps. When downloading files, you will see your speed measured in bytes (MB/s), not bits (Mbps).

I ran a speedtest and it is showing a much different speed than what I am paying for – what is up?
We recommend only using hardwired devices for speedtests.
